Interesting talk with a Brit client today at work

I'm talking with one of our clients today, a British subdivision of one of our clients.

He asks about the election "was there a long queue? did you vote? what did you think of it?"

I told him I was dissapointed, he said "We are too, all of Europe actually"

I told him we certaily weren't all * supporters

I asked him about the future of Blair, he he said that he was pretty much safe cause the British conservatives are real unpopular

I asked him about the British papers, and he said that the Gaurdian and the Observer were pretty much RW, while the most lib paper "is a rag, The Mirror"

"I read all of those!" I said.

At this point the evangelical in the cube next over, shouts "WE VOTED THE RIGHT MAN IN!!!!"

what a stupid thing to blurt to a client who thinks the majority of us are dumbasses

1. Part of me is tempted..

to write letters to papers around Europe pleading that they boycott our products as much as possible until we come to our senses.

I had to tell the guy we weren't ALL idiots here. When I was at the Bills game a few weeks ago, I saw a bunch of Canadians arguing with * supporters, and after I talked to them, they said "glad all you guys aren't idiots"

WTF is wrong with this nation!!!!!

3. tell your boss your client didnt appreciate that

could lose a comment not to mention the lack of professionalism. and you expect your bss to talk to this employee to assure it doesnt happen again
