I live in ohio and I'm PISSED they only released certain parts of the tape. It's clear why, if people heard about the threat to states supporting this bloodshed, would be held responsible and those that didn't guaranteed their safety. That clearly would of made up the difference, that is now 130,000. Now I have that to worry about along with the heavenly thought of 4 more years of hell. I know you can't deal with terrorism, but the people have the right to make a decission on all the information available to them. I BLAME THE MEDIA AS MUCH AS THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION...THE NEXT ATTACK THE BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS.

5. this was well reported on Monday

and I don't really see how it would have done anything but help Bush to have UBL make those threats. Also, since there was some confusion with what he meant by "states" - whether he meant U.S. states or countries - I can see the hesitation. I was more upset that Bush didn't advise Kerry of the tape immediately but instead altered his speech later that morning to add additional focus on "the war on terra" and get in some shots at Kerry before acting all obnoxious when Kerry repeated the Tora Bora charge.
