Foreign DUers.....I am truly sorry.
I want to apologize for some of my misled fellow countrymen. They chosed unwisely. Actually that is being too kind. They chose FOOLISHLY!

Please do not think all Americans are idiotic. I am not feeling good about this right now. I am embarrased to consider myself an American right now. Please know that most Americans are not for Bush's redneck agenda.

John

2. Please know that we have no way to challenge black box voting.
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 04:52 AM by DemBones DemBones
I'm not sure it was even possible to vote him out of office. Tell everyone you know, please. And if anyone knows how to get word to Osama. . .

On edit: Just so Agent Mike doesn't misunderstand, I'd like to get word to OBL that we tried to vote Bush** out and ask him to realize we were up against ignorant people who wanted to vote for him and rigged voting machines. It will be tragic if we are attackedby Al Qaeda because we couldn't stop Bush**. We tried to stop his war on Iraq and he called our massive demonstrations "focus groups." We're caught between a rock and a hard place.

3. I can´t help to think, that the Osama-video
came right in time to rise the fear-level in your country.
He had a good timing, too, in escaping from Afghanistan.
Isn´t it interesting, that this member of the Bin-Laden-family is always right in time?

Has anyone seen my tinfoil-hat?

7. Ah, I have a layover in Frankfurt in a couple of weeks.

Don't know if I have time to go into Frankfurt or will have to just stay at the airport. I'm sure they have beer at the airport, though. ;-)

10. Is this a joke?
Who cares what OBL thinks? I don't know anyone who tried to stop Bush to appease OBL. We opposed Bush because he let the bastard get away and ignored him. OBL wants Bush as President. Bush is a gift to him.

9. My fellow DUers
Let me just say, we know it isn't your fault. You guys tried your hardest to oust the pig. It isn't your fault the fix was already in place and they stole another election, because they realize they would never win one period.

11. I'm still proud
about most people here on DU and my friends in America are still my friends. Things are still the same as over the last four years and we survived them and will survive four more. Heads up & don't give up, you got one bright star for the future: Barack Obama. Maybe 2012 :)....

13. I am so disgusted with 'my' country
I can barely speak about it.
I've been pretty 'active' for 35 years with peace, justice and environmental issues in the US. I feel burned. I have to say I want to give it up for good. I finally am beginning to 'hate' this country, though there is probably a better word than 'hate'. I've had it. I'm sorry so many Americans support war crimes, hate gays and love torture. I'm sorry our racism and ignorance is injuring everyone on the planet. I'm so sorry!

we thank you for your support
**I'm not kidding when I say please consider asking your governments to take American refugees.

14. Duers.... Don't apologize.
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 06:26 AM by BonjourUSA
we're here with you and we know how you fought and how you'll fight yet.

BUT... because there is a "BUT", I'm asking myself some questions :

- What about the 63% of American people who still think that Iraq shared responsabities for 9/11 ?

- What about the poors who vote like millionaires and thank Bush because they wish to have taxe-cut going to them ?

- How long will the most active and richest cities or states continue to agree with their votes are less important than Ohio ones ?

- What about the American"Alamo syndrome" for the peace of the world with Bush like a "general in chief" ?

- What is the difference between the American Christian jihad and Islamic one ?

- What are the values we're still sharing with this "New America" which seems to be representative of the USA right now ?

-.......

15. I'm ashamed as well. (An open letter to DU's foreign correspondents)
As someone who considers himself a global citizen first and foremost, I feel like I've let you down. You could look me in my face and tell me you hate me, and I'd understand. But I know that you're more intelligent than that. And I appreciate that. And I thank you for understanding that I did what I could, personally, to return America to a place of respectability in the world.

Now I'm making plans to leave and, as soon as I'm able to do so, move to Europe. I hope you'll not treat me too harshly for who I am.

Thank you.
