Electoral chicanery aside, it's clear that * won the popular vote.
That will not only influence the US 'Supreme' Court if it gets that far (though it had the opposite effect in 2000, how odd), but the world will likely take notice that the American public wilfully wants the headless-chicken* to keep running freely. Especially if the electoral votes come through in the end.

2. I seriously doubt that he did.
Democracy was not served tonight/last night. We are living in a crazy, fictionalized version of what used to be. It's not flying with me. And I'm a sane housewife from MI.

This is FAR short of the earlier estimates that 120-125 million voted. That figure alone should be scrutinized.

It's possible that Bush did win the popular vote, but with so many numbers coming out weird, we should wait until the fine-toothed combs have are done.

Either way, though, we have our work cut out for us.
