1. you gotta' be kidding me!
That state is rabidly anti-Dem. If that's true, it really means something.

4. They've got 4 votes for Bush
and 1 vote with "insufficient information." Their title for NE says "SPLIT" and it's marked purple.

5. Not unlikely at all
Nebraska is predominently Republican, but unemployment is an issue here (plant closures, rural depopulation).

8. 1 congressional district is basically Omaha...
and the vote might be close there - like Iowa. I assume thats were the one vote for Kerry might come from.

9. Didn't they say the same thing about Maine?
I didn't believe that, either.

But I'd like Nebraska to be split ...

10. It's not unlikely, it's mandatory. They like Maine split electors.

11. That could change some scenarios, right there
I sense a big-time mess, chaos sprouting up all over the place.

12. One district is too close to call for now
It'll probably go to Bush. Still, it'd be a nice victory, and if we win Ohio and NH, lose NM and WI, that 1 EV from Nebraska would make it 270-268 Kerry.
