WTF? Rather just said that the election could turn into a Bush landslide

CBS has Bush ahead 108 to 77.

Rather said it is too early to tell, but his commentary on the possibility of a Bush landslide is the first I have heard with this slant.

5. You misunderstood him

He made the comment because the early southeastern states that were predicted to go * did. The map was awash in red so he said that it looked like a landslide but that it wasn't the case. Then he said, "Well, it might continue this way," rather flippantly, but the overall tone was that this was in no way going to be a landslide even though the map looked quite red.
