Which is why we drove them away. The trick with Republican staffers running dirty tricks, we discovered, is to turn cameras on them. They wilt like shrinking violets. Stephen Elliott and I are out here with a documentary crew, and when the film started rolling, the GOP’s bogus Gay Pride parade came to a quick end.

“Don’t film me,” the ringleader said when we stuck to them. “I’m expressing my freedom of speech.”

“And we’re going to film that expression,” Steve said. “What’s wrong with that? Gay pride, right? Unless your boss down at GOP headquarters doesn’t want you to turn up on TV.”

“I'm asking you nicely not to take pictures of me,” the ringleader said. Steve was emboldened, and pressed further. "You can ask me not nicely," I said. "You're creating news by posing as a Democrat and we're capturing that. We're not going anywhere."

I think that, in some states, it's illegal to record images or sound inside the polling place without the permission of everyone there (like when a candidate is photographed voting for him- or her-self).

and they are 50 ft. away from the polling site there shouldn't be a problem. Show these people for who they are which is trouble makers.

I plan on offering my video services to anyone here in Fort Worth who needs to have a record of voter intimidation.

Intimidation will happen well outside the polling places. You can stand outside as near as the law allows, and as long as you aren't campaigning for any particular candidate (which includes wearing the schwag), you aren't breaking any laws. Obey all loitering/tresspassing laws of course, but most polling places are going to be on public property, so you should be able to document the goings on. If anyone asks not to be videotaped, that's their right, and you should respect that. Just stand by and be ready for any lawbreakers, and shoot them (with your camera, I mean) if necessary.

This is good advice! Also carry with you the phone number of the local Dem Party headquarters and the local chapter of the ACLU, as well as the phone number of any local radio/TV station/newspaper. We must document ANY HARASSMENT by GOP thugs in case we end up hauling their asses to court!
