Can you say "theocracy?"

Just on MSNBC. Creepy.

Edited to change title, even though we Muricans aren't sposed to use French.

14. Bush's Methodist church called for his removal
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 02:18 PM by Atman
On edit: I am toning down the subject line until I find the link...I recall reading the story, but a quick Google comes up with many references to calls for Bush's removal, but not the story I remember which said his own church asked him to leave. Here are a couple of links:

I don't have the link to the story, but this is real. His minister said he did not follow the teachings of the church, and was not considered a good Christian.

But of course, Bush's supporters don't know that, because the media wouldn't tell them. Never mind that Bush never actually attended church anyway...he is just a liar to the core.

18. do you have a link to that?
It's pretty big news for a Methodist church to "kick someone out." I wasn't even aware they did that.

11. Pharisees...
...I believe they should change the name of their party. Or form their own, the Pharisees. Oh, and a recommendation to Republicans, next time, nominate someone NOT NAMED BUSH and maybe you'll have a chance at winning without cheating.

12. Well, I know you won't believe this, but I was reading a bio of
Hitler by Ian Kershaw, and he mentioned that the "Our Father" was said at one of Hiter's rallies.

13. Yet they don't give a god damned about the suffering Iraqis.
Damn them all to hell. I hate the hypocrites. They care about their pathetic little election, but not about the people who's homes are blown up and who's limbs are missing, and who's family members are killed. And ALL in their names. Damn them!

17. Bush will require Scalia to swear him in ...
... while adding the words "defend the faith" to the inaugural oath.

While tanks and soldiers surround the U.S. Capitol to enforce martial law.

19. This is **** unbelievable!!
I still don't understand why people, and ESPECIALLY CHRISTIANS, don't jump at this kind of immoral (yes, immoral) behavior! This is bull***. He is using God for his own purpose, yet all these people are just saying "what a good christian he is". I remember when Clinton asked forgiveness from the CHristian community over the Lewinski affair, every single Christian I knew were accusing him of using God to further his own political agenda. If that is an improper invokation of God, than I don't know what the hell they call that.
