WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Campaign Money Watch is airing a radio ad in the Houston area that criticizes Tom DeLay for his reported role in weakening security training requirements for flight attendants after 9/11.

The radio ad, which is in heavy rotation on Houston stations, began airing on Friday and will run through election day on Tuesday.

The ad notes that DeLay has received $159,000 from the airline industry since 1997.

"Over his career in Washington, you have to ask whether Tom DeLay has put the interests of his contributors before the public interest, including the safety of airline passengers and flight crews," said David Donnelly, director of Campaign Money Watch.

The ad can be heard at http://www.campaignmoney.org/media/2004/texas_radio.htm .
