in an 18 month span who killed more Iraqis: Bush or Saddam Hussein?
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=536&ncid=536&e=4&u=/ap/20041029/ap_on_el_pr/bush_bad_news

A new survey of deaths in Iraqi households estimates that as many as 100,000 more people may have died throughout the country in the 18 months since the U.S.-led invasion than would be expected based on the death rate before the war.

That's an average of 5,555,5 Iraqis killed per MONTH by Bush: men, women and children. Saddam was sworn in as President of Iraq in July, 1979. At Bush's kill-rate, that would be 1,533,318 dead civiilians Saddam's 23 years as president of Iraq. Now, the Iran-Iraq war cost an estimated 250,000 Iraqi lives (referenced http://www.iraqfoundation.org/research/bio.html)so subtracting that leaves 1,283,318 dead Iraqis after 23 years- that number is assuming Bush's kill-rate, minus Iraqi-Iran war casualties.

Correct me if I am wrong, but estimates of Saddam's victims in his 23 year rule have been about 300,000- that is the number I have heard bandied about. In which case, that makes Bush 4 TIMES as LETHAL as Saddam, to the average Iraqi civilian. Back to my original question, in the 18 months of this Iraqi war, Bush has murdered an estimated 4x as many civilians as Saddam would have, had his reign continued.

(this is no defense of Saddam, but the immorality and criminality of this "war" is mindboggling)

1. Saddam was never the threat that they said.
To his own people or to us.

3. Don't forget: Tony Blair DEBUNKED the Iraqi "mass graves"
NOT saying Saddam was a good guy, but most of the corpses apparently came from when the US told them to "rise up" in 1991, and then Bush Sr didn't support them.

http://observer.guardian.co.uk/politics/story/0,6903,1263830,00.html

Downing Street has admitted to The Observer that repeated claims by Tony Blair that '400,000 bodies had been found in Iraqi mass graves' is untrue, and only about 5,000 corpses have so far been uncovered.

The claims by Blair in November and December of last year, were given widespread credence, quoted by MPs and widely published, including in the introduction to a US government pamphlet on Iraq's mass graves.
