Former veteran already responds to "Rude"y Guiliani's crass, insensitive
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 11:42 AM by hopeisontheway
statement about blaming the troops:

WASHINGTON, Oct. 28 U.S. Newswire -- Former West Point Professor, Bronze Star recipient and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran Patrick Murphy responded to Rudy Giuliani's comments about the missing explosives this morning with the following statement:

"This is another example of the Bush administration being derelict in their duties to lead and to take responsibility. As a soldier who served proudly in Iraq, I am disheartened by the former Mayor's comments.

"This country needs leadership not excuses. Bush tried to win the war on the cheap, he didn't give us the troops the generals asked for, the troops that were needed to secure Iraq, now his surrogates are blaming the troops for his mistakes."

------

Rudy Giuliani, on the Today Show: "No matter how you try to blame it on the president the actual responsibility for it really would be for the troops that were there. Did they search carefully enough? Didn't they search carefully enough?" (10/28/04)

1. Wow, that is so unbelieveable
When the twin towers were hit by planes, and thousands of lives lost in New York, Did America say "I blame the fire and police. Did they do enough? Did they respond quick enough? Did they work hard enough?

I of course don't believe these sentiments, but that is what I equate his sentiment to.

2. I am sick of Rudi too - Maybe now people will start holding him
accountable for his words and actions. The fact that he supports georgie porgie, after *'s low caliber behavior as president shows he has no moral ethics, but this statement blaming the troops for missing weapons proves he has no soul. And to think, he will try to challenge John in 2008! Phuck Rudi!

4. Why do you have to search for what you know is there Rudy
baby?

US Gov new this ammo site existed, * admin (Rummey et al) knew it was there and didn't bother to instruct the leaders to be sure that the ammo site be secured. "You just better make sure the oil ministry is protected, dammit!"

I hope this F's Rudy's chances at political office in the future.
