Former Gov. George Sinner endorses Wesley Clark
Associated Press

BISMARCK, N.D. - Former Gov. George Sinner endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark on Thursday, saying the retired Army general made a strong impression on him during a recent campaign visit.

"He's a wise man who has been there," Sinner said. "He is so calm and presidential in his appearance, and in his presentation of thoughts and ideas ... It seemed to me he could present the issues with the most believability."

2. Good news for you guys, congrats!
"It seemed to me he could present the issues with the most believability."

Does this mean our issues aren't really believable? Why should he need to gradiate the sincerity of candidates?

3. An endorsement based on public speaking...
Edited on Fri Jan-16-04 01:17 AM by HumanPatriot
If only Bush had those speaking skills he would of been in the running for this one.

"he could present the issues with the most believability"...an act that doesn't in itself neccessitate his own actual belief, which I believe to be far more important.

Kudos to Clark and his speech coach.

10. Not surprising, given that the ND Dem-NPL Party is already behind Clark
and we haven't even held our caucuses yet.

Clark was the guest at the Jefferson-Jackson dinner last Saturday, and all of the sign-in tables were covered with Clark paraphenalia. When other campaigns complianed, it was briefly removed then put back.

While they were at the dinner, the Dean HQ was vandalized, with all of the Dean signs out front ripped down and replaced with Clark signs.

(That was the extent of the vandalism, but I still think it qualifies).

Notice to all State Central Committee members: this is just plain wrong, and I'm running for chair again. See you at the next meeting where you can explain the misdirection of state party resources in support of one candidate prior to the state and national convention.

More to the point, I think most of the New Deal democrats that are liable to take any notice of Sinner's endorsement would likely support Clark anhway.
