Remember what Bob Woodward said about oil prices?
The networks are saying that oil prices are TUMBLING rapidly all of a sudden.

One of today's top news stories: "In unusual move, cartel requests that No. 1 oil consumer tap into SPR to lower prices."

http://money.cnn.com/2004/10/27/news/international/opec_spr.reut/index.htm

>>> Remember what Bob Woodward said back in April??

.."Oil prices are ``high, and they could go down very quickly'' Woodward said last night in an interview on CBS's ``60 Minutes.''

3. No move in oil prices today can change gas prices before the election

4. if prices fall suddenly
people are going to be even more pissed that bush has let them be robbed blind by big oil while he sat back and did nothing and all of a sudden gas prices are his priority because it affects his reelection?
a week of cheaper gas is not going to make anyone happy.

5. They waited too long for this October Not-So-Much-A-Surprise
When a mention of increase in oil cost the price of gas goes UP IMMEDIATELY, but when the price of oil drops, it can take weeks or months if at all for prices to fall.

6. Sure, Bandar Bush has him covered. But will * tap into SPR?
I assumed that OPEC would increase production. Didn't * promise he wouldn't tap into the strategic reserve? Is he gonna flip-flop? Is OPEC telling him to go eff himself & tap into our SPR if he wants to lower prices?

7. It's too late
The current drop won't be reflected at the pump until after the election.

And there's the 37% increase in heating bills that won't be affected by the decrease.

8. Oil..
If you go to Google "News" and type in the key words "oil prices down", you won't believe the amount of articles rolling across about how prices are DROPPING..

Maybe they were too late, but Bob Woodward was on to something..
