Wesley Clark: Friend Of Bill
<snip>
The Clinton connection has been a recurring theme in the Clark campaign. Former Arkansas Sen. David Pryor, who stumped for Mr. Clinton in 1992, has become a frequent guest of Clark's out on the trail. When Clark introduces Pryor to voters, it's clear why the former senator is so important to the campaign. "It's a repeat performance for Sen. Pryor because he was up here in 1992 when Bill Clinton was campaigning. And thank you, Senator, for coming back," Clark said last week through a Clinton-approving applause.

Segal, a longtime friend of the former president, did not dance around the topic of drawing parallels between his candidate and Mr. Clinton. "Many people from the Clinton administration believe Wes Clark is the best representation of the views, the substance, and the style of President Clinton," Segal said in no uncertain terms.

10. Why "No Way"?
Wesley Clark certainly seems to be the best representation of the Clinton era to me. Why don't you see it that way?

Now I see why he's not counter-attacking the other candidates (aside from what I believe to be an respectable character trait.) He's too worried about going after Bush the Lesser!

The balls on that man must weigh a ton! Funny, you couldn't tell from that speedo pic!

Thanks for the link. Not only was that a great call by Clark, but I LOVED his response to the FOX attack squad.

<snip>

"Ed Gillespie, the RNC chairman, had traveled to Arkansas -- Clark's home state -- and criticized the Democratic candidates, singling out Clark and arguing that he had changed his position on the war for political gain."

<snip>

" Responding to criticism from Gillespie, Clark told reporters that it was a sign that his campaign was succeeding. "It looks like they've finally figured out that I'm George Bush's greatest threat," he said, blaming it on White House political adviser Karl Rove."

Gotta gotta gotta love dat man!

From Nightline

<snip>

"After raising a record $70 million as finance director for Clinton's 1992 campaign, he planned the inauguration and went on to serve as political director, then senior advisor, at the White House."

Holy mother of God! $70 million dollars? We need this guy! Thanks for the heads-up!

7. WJC may not outwardly "endorse" Clark, but I bet he will be "seen" with
him and some upcoming events.

Al Gore's endorsement of Dean hasn't helped Dean in TN--he and Clark are neck-and-neck in the polls there. Won't be long before we see that change.

If Al Gore would only have utilized Clinton's party power, things would be oh so different today. Alas...

9. Good.
I'm thrilled Bill is a friend of Clark's. They HAVE known each other for years. I'm just hoping Bill does a stump speech for Wes after Jimmy Carter opens the door when he stumps for Dean this week-end. I hope Clinton waits until 2-3-4 days before the NH primary. He needs to leave time for the press to talk about it. :)

14. Definitely not a bash here
But the more dog-lets that stump for Clark, the better. Jimmy Carter is a great asset for Dean, but Clinton-stumping will shadow that if it's played right.

Hillary, party of two, you're table is ready!

12. Clinton needs to be seen
without making a formal enodorsement, similar to Carter...be it for my guy or another. People are watching and waiting. :)

15. I used to think the Clintons should wait until new york to come out
for Clark, but now that Clark is nearly within the margin in NH, maybe it'd be best to knock Dean out of the race after the first round of southern primaries, after a win in NH and the south.
