Is anyone else sick of the hearing about "October Surprises"?
I know I am. Doesn't it sort of dilute the whole concept of an "October Surprise" by labeling EVERY news item or EVERY political revelation that happens to occur in October a, well, October Surprise?

2. No october surprise
I think we overrate these surprises. It isn't like perry mason. Most of them are just cheap shots like the BUsh DUI story.

What I find funny is the freeps who think this explosive story is a Rovian October Surprise. The first rule of these things, is never ever do something to damage your candidate.

Even if this was a plant in some Rovian way, even turning off voters for 1 minute to other guy is bad strategy. I don't think we'll see an October surprise.

And, I don't think the DUI story did anything to Bush. He would have lost anyway.

7. Yes!
You win a muffin.

Diluting the concept of October Surprises is *precisely* what we wished to achieve.
