Why can't anyone seem to understand the al Qaaqaa explosives story?

This is not a breaking news story about material that disappeared recently. This is a breaking news story about a collapsing cover-up leading to the discovery of a crime of ineptitude from April-May 2003.

The material was stolen over 17 months ago. Paul Bremer was notified of the theft 17 months ago.

This material has ALREADY killed many Americans and many more Iraqis over the last 17 months.

the beginning. just no one put much emphasis or stock in it. it has been there all along, with kerry and edwards saying it. media just didnt deem it important and now they have decided it is. so i suggest it isnt even the cover up, i am suggesting it is just poor media along with so many stories we know are sitting on the sidelines waiting to be told

As reported in the New York Times, the bomb that brought down Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988 used less than a pound of the same type of material.

16. It does not help when local TV...

One of Memphis' local news stations just covered the explosives story and NOT ONCE did they mention that this occurred 17 months ago - no date at all was given and the way the anchor read the story it implied that it just happened today and that the the Iraqis were looking for the explosives this very second! I was screaming at the screen - "you f-ing idiots!!!! Stop the insanity!!!! Those explosives are the one they have been using to blow up our troops and the Iraqis for over a year now!"
