Miami local radio: Jeb considering posting National Guard at polls
To reduce voter intimidation, after reports of such actions at early voting stations.

Heard this on WLRN local news break.

6. What Guard?
They didn't have enough to help with hurricanes, what makes him think there's enough to help now?

10. Hand picked RNC storm troopers no doubt.
They won't be just assigning them at random. They'll use only loyal registered republicans.

What's wrong with using the state or local police?

9. NG forces will "REDUCE" voter intimidation?
More likely, CAUSE voter intimidation.

Would you want to cross a line of guys and gals with rifles to go vote? Some people might be intimidated by the show.

11. Will they be armed?
After 9/11, in the vicinity of Wall Street there were APCs and National Guardsmen in the streets and we had to pass through two checkpoints to get to work. But they were mostly unarmed.

16. I assume it would be at ALL polls and not just ones
in poor or minority neighborhoods.

Armed guards would have the effect of intimidating new citizens who have come from third-world countries, and don't fully understand they have the right to vote no matter how many goons the Repugs put in their way.

Isn't it interesting how the Repugs always explain intimidating poor voters by saying they want "to prevent fraud"?

Yeah. Sure.
