Recommended closer for the Kerry campaign -short and sweet!

I believe in an America guided by hope, not manipulated by fear.

I believe in an America where the health of our citizens is held more precious than the bottom line of any drug company.

I believe in an America that values opportunity for all above payback for the privileged few.

I believe in an America where our citizens never find the deck stacked against them in finding a good job.

I believe in an America that seeks respect in the world, not one that gloats in making enemies out of friends.

I believe in an America that values the wisdom of balancing a checkbook over the foolishness of taking out credit cards in our children’s names.

I believe in an America that offers true leadership to win the war on terror, and not one that lurches from Abu Ghraib to the Faluja Brigade without a plan in sight.

And I believe in an America that deserves straight-up honesty from its leaders more than a punishing loyalty to them.

America, it is time for a change. We need a fresh start to rekindle our hopes and dreams, to resolve that we will not yield to fear, and that with the grace of God, we can again be true to the principals upon which this great nation was founded. My fellow Americans, it is time to believe in America again.

As with all ideas that I feel have merit and might be useful to the Kerry campaign, I suggest that you send this to them at johnkerry.com or fax it to them (go to the Kerry web site and click on contact info). I know that they do read suggestions, as I have sent several and have gotten back responses from the campaign. Try it, they might just incorporate it into Kerry's remarks.
