Anyone attend a GOTV training today?
I just attended one in Western PA. A speaker asked how many present had never volunteered to work for a presidential election before. Almost 3/4 of the people there raised their hands!

I hope that every DU'er who can, will volunteer to be part of the GOTV effort.

We're in the home stretch now!

1. Get Out The Vote is HUGE
Please, EVERYONE, take some time this next week to volunteer. If everyone who wants Kerry votes, we win. If just one Kerry leaner per precinct stays home it could mean the difference, added up, for your state.

Get out the vote isn't persuasion. It is getting people to the polls. This is low pressure, and non-confrontational. In other words, it is not so hard.

I know many of you are doing this anyway. But maybe we should all do some sort of internet tithe? That is, devote an hour at the campaign office next week for every hour you spend on line? Just a suggestion.....

2. Yes, we all need to pledge as much time as possible
The Republicans have more people recruited to date in Ohio to do GOTV. I think the election will depend upon our success to get our voters to the polls.

If you can take the day off work, great! If not, see if there are some people in your area who need rides to the polls, or volunteer before or after work.

Unlike with bush's pathetic debate performance, we don't get a mulligan for a bad election day turnout.
