Any word on motivation among black voters in swing states?

Is the black community as motivated this time around as they were last time around? Is the disenfranchisement issue that cost Gore Florida helping to motivate black voter turnout? Is Kerry running an effective campaign in this regard? I haven't seen many articles or posts on this subject, so wondering if any of you have any first- or second-hand info.

1. Hip-Hop community en masse to get out the hip-hop vote

I know Chuck D. and P. Diddy are working their tushies off getting the community to vote. I also know that down in FL after the Supreme Court gave the election to Bush, the African-American community started working on getting the vote out. So they have been flogging this issue for almost 4 years now.

The black vote is going to be key to winning the election. They can (and hopefully will) fully offset the fundies.
