The meme is slowly but surely getting out, BUSH IS IN TROUBLE!!
I've been hearing that quite a bit the last couple of days. The media ran it's Bush toe-sucking to the final days, but with JK and Bush tied in the majority of polls, JK pulling away in the Battleground states, and Dubya's approval rating at 44 percent, the media has no choice but to spit the toes out and go with the inevitable.

once corporations realize the fundies will eventually start costing them money they'll start singing a different tune.

3. Have there been any breaks in the media yet?
Where have you seen the "meme slowly but surely getting out"? I haven't seen anything to get excited about yet.

19. I've heard every element of this
in separate pieces. Professional pollsters tell you that disapproval this low means the end. Statistics tell you the same. A look at Gallup's *ahem* non-skewed poll from 2000 put Gore behind by 13% (remember, the one he won) on October 27. And by that math, Gallup's figure now means Kerry is ahead even by them. Republican stalwarts are bailing, newspapers are a landslide for Kerry, and most of all- the mongers are spinning so fast they're getting visibly dizzy-

Oh it's a meme all right. It just in separate strands and needs to be assembled to become a real one. Sort of like a hurricane gathering strength - watch it upgrade.

17. Yup
Historically those still undecided right before election day go overwhelmingly to the challenger. The incumbants polls numbers right before the election will be the ceiling on the actual vote percentage and for the challenger the poll number will be the floor.

5. Gallup will ride to the rescue once again with a bogus poll...
Like clockwork, everytime a polls shows Kerry even or ahead, Gallup releases a bullshit poll to demoralize Dems and leaning Kerry voters. ;grr:

6. No choice?

What will Judy and Candy do? Go from whoring for Bush
to sneering about Kerry, that's what.

They'll treat Kerry the same way the treated Clinton -- with
barely concealed disdain.

The people are cockroaches. Calling them whores demeans
whores.

16. Exactly.

I want to believe that a Kerry victory will change the
media, but I think unless Kerry does the hard work --
reinstituting the Fairness Doctrine, breaking up the
cartels, etc. etc. -- the media will go from Bush defenders
to Kerry attackers without batting an eye.

I almost didn't take the time to get those, but then
I thought what the heck, I'll take it seriously.

Funny, I don't know why Judy WoofWoof is the one who
bugs me so much. Candy's barely a blip for me.

lol.

12. The polls are going better than in 2000.
Chimp was up in a CNN/Gallup poll by 13 on 10-27-00 and up an average of 4 on 11-5-00.

another attack...tell me, what did he do on Aug. 6th 2001. Can we afford this mindset?

14. Bush is going down.
When it comes down to it, the undecideds will vote for Kerry because they won't be able to stand the thought of 4 more years of Bush. They won't want that on their consciences.

Let their base think it's in the bag. Don't give them any incentive to come out -- and hopefully Democrats will be on the ground getting the vote out like crazy.
