I'm thinking not much, since most people have seen the ads. They played a lot in the battleground states, I believe, but I even saw some here in Texas, so those were probably national ads.

Still....Maybe the ads ran only on cable, and the film is on network TV so it'll reach different people?

2. I was in WI two weeks ago
and the papers were running polls on the SBV ads. ~80% of people thought they were distracting and only ~5% thought they were relevant.

5. Not sure
I hope not much -- I think it is really possible that the only people who will watch (or at least mostly) are anti-Kerry people. So, it might have the effect of solidifying their resolve.

A pro-Kerry person probably won't watch, and it would be very likely that they won't change their mind over it.

Those undecideds (their number shrinks every day) are the worry. But really, those leaning toward Kerry will surely hear about the other side (if we keep pushing), and we're not likely to get the leaning Bush undecideds anyway.

It could even backfire on them -- let's hope!

6. Aside from pushing them into bankruptcy?
Not much.

This stuff has been thrown at Kerry for decades. It never takes him down.

8. I don't think it will have much effect on Kerry, but
I would like to see an ad buy to run just before or just after the film. McCain and Stockdale (seven year POW and the hightest ranking officer) have both gone on record to say that John Kerry had zero effect on their imprisonment. They never heard of him while they were in Vietnam and their torture was pretty much over by the time Kerry spoke to the Senate. A simple ad stating that the film is a pack of lies would be very nice.

13. The Sinclair affiliates in Iowa are burying it in the schedule -
The Cedar Rapids station is showing this Saturday at 7 (opposite World Series)
The Des Moines station is showing this Friday at 7

Good for them, I say. . .nobody but hard core wing nuts will watch this, and they ain't voting for Kerry anyway.

What about in other markets?

14. It's not just Sinclair....
....the whole gamut of media whores are showing themselves for who they are.

The rank-and-file American might not be the most well-read about the issues, they might be jaded about learning the facts, but they know a con job when they see one.

All these media whores bleating in unison are making their on-knees position well understood by the masses. Not only will this lame attempt to influence the election fail, the more the whores bleat the more Americans realize that they suck, suck and suck some more.

It's all good. Kerry is going to win, and the whores are going to have copius amounts of "egg" on their faces nonetheless.

It is a perfect world sometimes.

15. Only the evangelics will care...
The rest of the US will probably pass or be pissed off that their regular TV show was pre-empted.
