Whouley: We can win Colorado
Maybe he's just blowing sunshine up our ass, but this is good to hear. An email I just got from the campaign:

You deserve some specifics: At one point during the meeting, talk turned to Colorado. Many pundits thought this state was in the win column for George Bush. But polls show this is not the case -- we can win Colorado. We decided that we should be aggressive here and once again the answer was "go for it." On the night of November 2, when Colorado is called for John Kerry, know it was because of you.

I just wanted to say "thank you" -- you continue to make the difference.

1. Just voted absentee in Colo...
...and so did my wife. We live in Canada, but we're registered there! We can TAKE this state!

2. If everyone in Denver and Boulder would just VOTE,
I think we could rack up enough votes to do it. I just don't sense this groundswell of strong support for Bush - Repugs here seem more resigned to it than anything. Bush is hitting hard with ADS ADS ADS all the time - Jesus. But Kerry has a number of them, as well as Moveon.org.

3. Perhaps we should remind Republicans about John Eisenhower,
and the Republicans for Kerry. And yesterday I read here that there may be a revolt brewing in the Republican Party if George&Co win the election.

John Eisenhower changed his affiliation to Independent after the 200 election and is now actively supporting Kerry/Edwards. Now that is integrity. And Ike forewarned us about the military-industrial complex. But I don't think he had any idea about how destructive and anti-American it would become.
