Duluth (MN) News-Tribune endorses Kerry!
Also add the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the Mankato Free Press. All three Minnesota papers endorse Kerry!

And the Star Tribune and News Tribune penetrate into western Wisconsin.

Nice to see my old state of Minnesota retaining it's blue status. Let's hope it carries next door into Wisconsin.

3. Duluth, Duluth...
Yeah, I think I've heard of it.

Is it anywhere near Procter or Two Harbors?

7. If Duluth is where I think it is (near Procter),
then Superior is just across the St. Louis River. Even George McGovern carried Superior & Douglas County.

I once fantasized about starting a newspaper in Procter just so I could call it the Procterscope.

2. Excellent
Smaller newspapers are just as important as large papers.

5. Great news, RatTerrier! So many people have wondered about Minnesota
because of Norm Coleman. (Hope that problem will be corrected next time.)

This is a great bit of information.

9. Coleman and Pawlenty got lucky
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 12:18 PM by RatTerrier
Coleman needed his opponent to die in order to get into office.

And Pawlenty barely got elected in a three-way race. I have to admit, I did vote for Arnie Carlson(R) in 1990, but he's a moderate and I didn't care much for Gov. Goofy (aka Rudy Perpich). What's cool is that Carlson said he doesn't think much of Bush, and now considers himself to be an independent.

Minnesota is not becoming a red state anytime soon.

10. I'm glad to see someone mentioned this. Here is a link:
http://www.duluthsuperior.com/mld/duluthtribune/news/opinion/9942217.htm

Duluth, MN. and Superior, WI. are border cities. The population is about 115,000 total. Duluth News Tribune circulation is near 50,000.
I am pretty sure Kerry will win Minnesota. We usually vote for the Democratic candidate, but are losing some ground to the other side, state wide. I see more Kerry signs on average around the area, but there are some pockets of resistance. Let's hope they open their eyes....... GO KERRY/EDWARDS.
