This was an e-mail I just received.
Earlier today I got a letter asking for help getting out the story on President Bush's health. Tonight Markos at dailykos dropped a bombshell, a shocking video recently taped by the president. With that evidence in hand, I sent the following letter to the media. Please join me in a full court press media campaign to make them cover this story.
Thank you,
Text of the letter:
Dear members of the media,
I recently sent many of you a link that shows clear deterioration in President Bush’s speaking ability over the last 10 years. Here is a link where you can see that again:
http://www.adbuzz.com/bushbuzz.htm It almost brought me to tears to see just how much change there has been. But even that video comparison did not prepare me for this startling video President Bush recently taped for the Iraq Survey Group (This is a large QT file):
http://www.dailykos.com/images/admin/President_Bush_Thanks_ISG.mpg After seeing these two videos and hearing that President Bush has delayed his annual physical, I have become extremely concerned about the health of our president. When you add the additional physical evidence visible in the last debate (the odd looking spittle in the corner of the president’s mouth and his seemingly reddish complexion), concern for the President’s health is a serious issue that the media is failing to cover.
Here is a story about the President skipping his physical:
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=afp/us_vote_bush_health You can watch the debate again here and judge the physical evidence for yourself:
http://www.c-span.org/2004vote/debates.asp?Cat=Current_Event&Code=PresVP_04&ShowVidNum=10&Rot_Cat_CD=PresVP_04&Rot_HT=206&Rot_WD=&ShowVidDays=100&ShowVidDesc=&ArchiveDays=365 Some have even suggested that the strange hump under the President’s suit jacket might be a type of defibrillator. The picture here does seem consistent with what we all saw in the debate pictures:
http://www.lifecor.com/about_lifevest/when_to_use.asp I don’t really know if there is a problem with the President’s health. He obviously feels the job is really hard work, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise to find out it has had a deleterious impact on his health. Aside from the extraordinary pressure that this president is under, there is more than enough evidence to warrant a discussion of his health in the media. And I don’t really see that discussion anywhere.
If you won’t cover the story as a service to the electorate, could you at least look at it as an opportunity to create news ratings and/or readership? Please, for the good of the nation and maybe even as a service to the President, cover this story.
