Today's endorsements are all for Bush: The Savannah Morning News, The Union-Leader (Manchester, NH), and the Globe-Gazette (Mason City, IA).

The papers listed are all DAILY papers - that's why you won't see Bush's hometown newspaper from Crawford, Texas on this list.

The current tally, with latest daily circulation numbers, follows. "G" and "B" refer to whether the paper endorsed Gore or Bush in 2000:

JOHN KERRY
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (G): 418,323
The Philadelphia Inquirer (G): 387.692
Detroit Free Press (G): 354,581
The Oregonian (Portland) (B): 342,040

Four former bush papers support Kerry now and the bush papers all supported bush in 2000..and certainly haven't learned anything in 4 frickin' long years.

2. There should be a flurry of new endorsements now that the debates
are over.... So far it appears that only the very RW papers are backing Bush* and they certainly aren't very mainstream.

5. For Bush: The Dallas Morning News (B) 515,000 in 1992
Don't know what current circulation is, but it was 515,000 in 1992. One can assume it's more than that, now.
