Reality is creeping over America like a blanket of fog......
And the Repubs see it as clearly as everyone else. Tonight was the beginning of the end. The divisive politics that the Repubs have used so effectively for so many years have finally been stabbed in the heart with a wooden stake. Appropriately, it comes at the same moment as one of their leading spokesman, Bill O'Reilly is exposed as a sexual hypocrite.

Tomorrow, they will awaken and see their world has changed. America will choose a new direction and it is not the direction George W Bush and the Republicans are presently headed. The truth finally finally put its shoes on...

1. Until 9/11, bush was already seen as a total failure.
By everyone. His approval ratings were down in the mid-40s.

2. I feel it too - we are finally in the drivers seat.
However, they are getting desperate now, and we must be ready for what they will unleash. This crowd will not go quietly.

15. Yes we must win big
even so, some people will shout "voter fraud!" all the more. The bigger the landslide, the more they will shout. Mark Belling in Milwaukee keeps ranting that the Dems are planning the biggest fraud in history.

(he must be damn scared)

9. We will all be nervous up 'til Nov 3rd but....
I believe after tonight there is a new reality slowing seeping into the hard heads of the obstinate Repubs and this race will never be the same after tonight. Their bubble of confidence has been pricked.

6. I think outsourcing is key
Tackling this problem is fundamental....if outsourcing continues
unabated, the next generation of world innovators, thinkers, leaders
will not have any secure career path to build up into the people
who will take American through the next century.

America is waking up and it's very frightening. Now, what's needed
are real answers on how to get out of this mess...

and there is so much reporting, misinformation and criticism on
the losing of our manufacturing and professional services...
but (and I believe it's because a global economy is extremely complex)
we're really low a strong strategy on how to deal with this...
effectively, so we have a strong secure professional and overall middle class, yet are leading in a global economy at the same time.

7. The answer is the physical economy. We have to produce things in the US
we have to build the infrastructure to actually produce things in the USA. This BS about the 'Post industrial Society' is BS. WE have to produce something to provide value.

13. Recycling and renewable energy
and public education, public health, and public transportation would be excellent fields to expand into.

Between them all they ought to be able to keep as many engineers employed as the military. Imagine recycling everything. Imagine connecting NY, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and LA with high speed trains driven by electro-magnetic energy. Imagine public health with enough emergency room doctors (as opposed to only strung-out med interns) and nurses.

It could happen. If we make it a priority and fund it over endless military technology for endless military endeavors.

8. I think it's ironic
that their politics of division have been defeated by a man who they denigrate for seeing all sides of all issues.

John Kerry has rendered them impotent by the very virtue that they most despise in him.

Yes, Kerry has liffted that fog of fear and depression that W laid on 2000 times too thick. Thank God.
