Saddam was not a threat to the US when it invaded Kuwait. In fact, the US became a paid, mercenary military for Kuwait. Check out the facts.
the Kuwaitis wouldn't lift a finger to fight in their own defense and their royal family spent the time while our soldiers were fighting over in FL and other play time places around the US. Saddam was not threatening the US then or after. Saddame was taking on Kuwait for their slant-drilling of Iraqi oil and because he believe that Kuwait was rightfully an historic part of Iraq. At no time did Saddam seek to attack the US or even threaten the US. We were lied to then as now.
