Strategic Vision Poll or WHY I HATE POLLING
But I just can't stop seeking them out. At this rate, I will go stark raving mad before election day. Where the hell do these people come up with these numbers? It's MIND BOGGLING.

Wisconsin - Bush 49, Kerry 44

Ohio - Bush 51, Kerry 43

Pennsylvania - Kerry 46, Bush 45

Iowa - Bush 49, Kerry 46

Washington - Kerry 49, Bush 45

New Jersey - Bush 44, Kerry 44

3. Strategic Vision is a Republican Pollster
It's out there specifically to blow smoke at the media. Believe me that the Bush Campaign and the RNC are doing their own polling -- the results of which they're not sharing. And for obvious reasons.

6. Republican poll - not worth the paper it's printed on
It is so consistently awful that I can't even make a guess on how much you need to adjust it but 8 points seems about right.

7. That's easy to answer, they add 3 to *
and deduct 3 from John Kerry.

8. I couldn't agree more
Their polls are partisan garbage. All DUers should disregard them and not be alarmed when electoral vote sites show a swing in Bush's favor when they post SV polls. SV has been bad for months - when other polls had Kerry leading nationally and in EVs, they could be counted on to throw out a poll showing bush leading in some state he was trailing in.

11. SVA is run by republicans
Their objective is to create the illusion that Smirk is pulling away in the battleground states to depress Kerry supporters.

12. In the Election Model, I avoid them and other repuke pollsters like...
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 01:57 PM by TruthIsAll
Survey USA and Rasmussen -if they are out of line with polls from Zogby and ARG.

I keep state ARG and Zogby polls in as long as possible.

Electoral-vote.com is pretty, but good polls are overridden by bad ones as soon as they appear.

Just because they are fresh polls does not mean they are unbiased. They are very biased for Bush.

The Votemaster at Electoral-vote.com doesn't trust them either - but he keeps using them. He wanted to average latest polls, but I guess repukes made him change his mind.

There is NO end to the LIES and DECEPTIONS.

That's why I believe it's better to use discretion in posting the state polls for the model.

Som call it cherry-picking; I call it exercising good judgement.

13. Based on ads we only have 14 "battleground" states? - is that true?
The most ads are running in Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Also 10 other states -- Colorado, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Wisconsin -- also are seeing heavy advertising.

I thought 21 states were in play....

Guess I need to pay closer attention.
