National Dem party is targeting Kentucky Sen. Bunning based on new poll
Three weeks before the election, the National democratic senate campaign has given money to State Senator Daniel Mongiardo based on a new poll which gives GOP Senator Bunning only a 8-point lead--47-39 percent. Could an upset be brewing?

1. Yahoo! That is great news!
Bunning is nothing more than a cyst on Mitch McConnell's butt. He doesn't think for himself, doesn't vote for Kentuckians, just follows his "great" leader on everything. He might have been a good baseball player in his day but he sucks as a Senator. Go DNC - let's send him back to signing baseball cards and attending car dealership openings.

8. Send Bunning and his bodyguards packing!
At one point, he said Mongiardo looked like Usay and Quday Hussein!

2. About time we got rid of this ass.
A mediocre former baseball player who used his celebrity to get elected to congress, then used his position as a congressman get into the hall of fame (probably with the worst record of any pitcher ever inducted) then used his hall of fame status to win a senate race.

3. fletcher's effect on the race
I truly believe the actions of our newly elected guv, republican earnie fletcher, is actually helping to turn people against the gop in KY. Since he's been guv, he's been involved in several things that just don't pass the smell test.

His latest screwup was raising the insurance premiums and out of pocket expenses for the teachers in our state drastically. It so bad they are talking about going out on strike at the end of this month. In the 20 years I've lived in KY, I've NEVER heard of such a thing.

I was talking to a very close friend of ours at church this Sunday and I found out that one of the teacher organizations is looking into the state consitution to see if the guv could be recalled. I told her if she needed signatures, just let me know. har har

5. Li'l Ernie IS having an impact
Teachers are MAD at him, and they need somebody (gee, who might be running as a Republican in KY this year) to take it out on.

And remember: Ernie's the terrorist who attacked the USA when we were all deep in mourning over the loss of our Rushmore-worthy President Reagan.

The negative crapola that Bunning is pulling seems really amateurish; at least McConnell's negative ads are pretty state of the art. But Bunning's are dire--of a piece with his weirdly racist rant against Mongiardo.

9. Bunning isn't so popular here
He really got hacked for claiming that Bin Laden was after him and thus, requiring all this extra security and using it as a reason for not meeting voters! Crazy, huh? And then he said Mongiardo looked like one of Saddam's sons. The newspapers have given him a hard time for that. Gov. Fletcher declaring war on teachers isn't helping either.

10. I remember several years ago Bunning going on live radio
and declaring the City of Louisville was flooded after several days of really hard rains, that the flood walls hadn't been put up and things were terrible (paraphrasing here, but that is the gist as best as I remember) and Louisville was under water. Huh? Really? No, of course not. The man didn't have a clue what he was talking about but he does do a really good crazy man rant for live radio.

Stoopid, stoopid man.

11. Bunning apologized to Mongiardo today!
Heard on the local news on the way home from work that Bunning has finally apologized to Mongiardo for saying months ago he looked like the sons of Saddam Hussein.
