Whatever happened to the Big Bush Boner?
in the 2nd debate: "I own a timber company? That's news to me. Do you need some wood?"

The whole idiotic episode never really made it to prime time in the corporo-media land. And by now -- zip, blip -- this revealing story seems to have disappeared altogether -- even though it is a Major Boner.

How peculiar.

1. I thought you were talking about his flight suit appearance.
I think Kerry should bring a copy of Bush's tax forms to the third debate. At some point, he should walk over and put them on Bush's podium and say, "It may be news to you, Mr. President, but you either own a timber company or else you lied about it to get a tax break."

"So which is it?"

3. Saturday Night Live Picked Up on It
The Saturday Night Live skit on the debate this last Saturday was actually very sharp. They teased Kerry about a few things (such as name dropping and being long-winded). But they abused Bush as almost psychotic.

For anyone who missed it, Kerry was right. Bush really did receive income from a timber company, and the Bush Administration has been exaggerating the number of small business owners by 100% because of counting persons everyone who receives business profits as an owner.

5. Here it is a day later
and I am still wondering what happened to this story.

Please tell me it has not EVAPORATED in the corporate news cycle, never again to know the warmth arising from the Public Sun of Attention.
