Sanctions were not working???
Republicans know there are ignorant people in this country (conservatives) who swallow any lie told by bush. The sanctions used under Clinton's watch worked. bush's investigator said so in a thousand page report. Clinton showed a respect for life by not throwing troops at a problem that could be solved by other means. Clinton left a big ole surplus. And September 11th did not change everything. And we are not safer with Saddam Hussin locked up. Please share this with your dumbass, american hating conservative acquaintances.

Hussein had no offensive war capabilities and he had no WMD. The UN inspectors were getting complete access and were coming up with squat.

That's the reason Bush invaded. He'd have had no justification on the IWR resolution to invade if no WMD were confirmed by the UN.

This administration's actions, when it took control of Bahgdad, should tell us everything we need to know:

(1) Allowed the looting of Iraq's most important museum devoted to the Mesopotamian civilisation artifacts.
(2) Left all National ministry buildings unattended except the ministry of oil.
(3) Building airbases in Iraq and exited Saudi Arabia.......the country where 15/19 hijackers came from. Talk about surrendering...

Cheney/Bush started planning for the Iraqi acquisition (actually a hostile takeover) immediately upon securing the 2000 election. Cheney's secret energy meetings were cover for the plan. Obviously, they had to get all the major corporate interests in the coalition of the billing and we saw the maps that clearly divvied Iraq into operating units of corporate oil.

Bush is like a broken record with his mantra: "SH was an evil terrorist. The world is safer without Saddam." Because there has to be some justification for transferring our national treasury to Republican corporate business interests.
