George Bush invented the hydrogen powered automobile-I know
because he said so during the debate.

"That's why I proposed a hydrogen automobile -- hydrogen-generated automobile. We're spending $1 billion to come up with the technologies to do that."

4. He did propose it. He canceled the increase in car and truck mileage
and moved all the research money to the hydrogen car. Made him look like he was concerned about the environment and not oil wells. Several problems with the hydrogen car - hydrogen is very explosive and probably will never be able to be used in cars on a large scale. Just imagine what would happened in a crash. And the way he set up the research, it would use as much oil to produce the hydrogen as cars currently use. He just moved the money to oil and made sure there would be no cut in their profits.

10. The saddest part is his plan proposes generating H with nukular power.
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 01:21 AM by mahina
No joke.
What an idiot!!!

Make the hydrogen with nuclear power. While here in Hawaii right NOW good research is showing you can get Hydrogen with solar energy.

Think for a minute about all the cars on the road as little electric plants. With hydrogen cars you could get home and plug your car into your house to power your electric needs at home- silently, with only clean hot water as an effluent. . (You would still need steady power all day for the fridge but not nearly as much.)

Check out http://www.rmi.org/sitepages/pid388.php for the Rocky Mountain Institute's Advanced Automotive news. Too cool!

Amory Lovins came up with an idea that made it possible to build hydrogen cars safely, and gave the technology to GM, Ford,BMW, Toyota etc. to make them compete with each other. Check out the new BMW prototype!
And BTW G.W.Doofus had exactly zippity squat to do with it.
