Has anyone seen this?
This clip shows a fireman cleary stating "There's a bomb in the building, clear out."
Why would he state this? Some people will tell you that they only "believed" there were bombs planted in the buildings, and it was a misunderstanding. Well the next time a fireman makes such a bold claim when I'm around, I'm going ignore him, because he's probably misinformed.

2. There were quite a few bomb mentions early on
You're right, there had to be a source for the information, especially if firemen were talking about it.

3. And on a side note
Edited on Tue May-23-06 02:43 AM by mrgerbik
I still haven't heard much about this video where molten iron/steel is flowing out of WTC2. It seems to be thermite. Are there any other explanations? This is something that should be discussed.

4. Good eye, gerbik, and welcome to DU.
You're right, the molten steel pouring out of WTC2 is very important.

5. Isn't that incredible?
It does look like a thermite reaction, doesn't it? Some have tried to say molten aluminum from the plane, but molten aluminum runs silver. So, it is officially unexplained at this juncture;).

6. and of course...

I have to post this clip of a thermite reaction:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7231843493488769585&q=thermite&pl=true

I know these have been posted elsewhere, and previously by me. I'm sorry I have to repeat myself, but it seems important because it would easily explain the red and yellow-hot steel/iron found under the rubble weeks later. This narrative would go alot further then Debunking911's fanciful "pressure pulse", where yellow-hot steel was formed by gravitational energy alone. Thermite is an abundantly more plausible explanation.

7. So fortunate for you that
Edited on Tue May-23-06 03:53 AM by Jazz2006
the most ingrained of the tinhatters here don't seem to mind that you've got only a couple dozen posts and yet don't jump all over you for being a "newbie" with nothing to contribute, and even more incredible that they don't question your apparent "knowledge" of people and things that clearly predate your existence here.

If you didn't agree with them, they'd have labelled you a freeper, disruptor, liar, and would have accused you of having multiple personalities by now.

Me, I'd have given you the benefit of the doubt, either way, at least temporarily.

8. Maybe it's smething then.
I'm not aligned with anyone here, as I'm sure most here only align themselves with what they feel is the truth. This is probably what you are feeling the brunt of: difference. Disagreement rears it's (sometimes ugly) head in many forms.
Your reply does seem to be infer that I have to post 1000+ threads to be credible and knowledgeable. I read around, compare articles, watch videos, reason and post what I feel to be relevant to the discussion, just like you. If nobody replies, I don't have a fit and I keep my perspective.
I'm sorry if you or others sticking to the official story feel out of place here, it's a shame. I mean that.

In all fairness, may I ask what this has to do with my post?

10. No, no, quite the opposite.
I do not think that anyone's post count has anything to do with their credibility or knowledge.

It is the staunchest of the tinhatters who jump all over new posters who happen to disagree with them and say that new posters know nothing, have no credibility, and shouldn't even post in this forum unless they have thousands of posts.

I was struck by the contrast, thus pointed it out.

And, for the record, I do not "stick to the official story" - although that is a common misconception made by conspiracy theorists here. It is not an either/or proposition. One can disagree with various assertions and theories discussed here and also disagree with the "official story".

I don't actually know anyone who believes the "official story" unreservedly.

And welcome to DU, by the way.

:hi:

12. Don't believe that ludicrous post
The posters in this forum do not jump on people who have a low post count or who are new to the forum. Quite the contrary, those opposed to the truth movement tend to ridicule and harass anyone who questions the official conspiracy theory of the 9/11 Commission and hijack posts -- just as has been attempted here.

13. Nonsense
Edited on Thu May-25-06 04:42 AM by Jazz2006
It's quite the opposite in this forum.

I know from first hand experience.

The mihopers jump all over newbies who disagree with them. But at least they are polite to newbies who agree with them.

I don't think one's longevity should matter a whit. I think that any and all newcomers should be treated with respect and politeness.

Everyone's gotta be a newbie some time, after all.

But the reality is that in this forum, you're treated to all manner of derision, insults, lies, piling on, and outrageous behavior by a certain core of mihopers if you are a newbie who doesn't happen to agree with the mihopers. And it continues ad nauseum.

Fortunately, the mods here do a great job.

11. I've seen it before, and
I don't know what to make it, frankly, beyond the fact that it appears that at some point there was a report of a bomb in a building.

There isn't enough context for me to figure it out any further than that; i.e. timing, location, etc.
