So-called "UA 93": Secondary debris fields at a coal mine
"The Pennsylvania state police said debris from the crash has shown up about 8 miles away in a residential area where local media quoted some residents as seeing flaming debris from the sky.

But investigators were unwilling to say whether the presence of debris in two separate places evinced an explosion.

Finding the flight data recorder had been the focus of investigators as they widened their search area today following the discoveries of more debris, including what appeared to be human remains, miles from the point of impact at a reclaimed coal mine."

Wait a minut... This plane flew into a COAL MINE ??!! Or maybe only debris from sth that exploded in mid-air explosions went into that mine??

Kill and others: too many eyewitness from local towns saw explosions in air and rain of confetti. The famous slip of the tongue "they shot it down" of Rumsfeld (?)...

Something really has been shot / remotedly exploded in air!

But THIS MINE??!! Somebody heard about that??

And the last questions: anybody had a map of debris fields, eyewitnessess locations etc. I would really help us!

2. I think the quote is misleading
they are saying the point of impact was at a reclaimed coal mine, not that they found debris miles away at a reclaimed coal mine.

3. Reclaimed strip mine, or next to it?
I've seen references to the field where the plane crashed as being either a reclaimed strip mine, or a field next to a reclaimed strip mine.

I asked for clarification about this in another thread several weeks ago, but got no answer.

4. Maybe there was a bomb on board
it would be covered up to avoid government/airline liability . I remember hearing a long time ago that there was talk of guns or other weapons on board , but it was hushed up because of liability issues. Bombs were mentioned also.
