been at Camp David, Rumsfeld away from the Pentagon, Some Iraqi's on the planes. I think there were elements of the Saudi's, Israel, U.S., and AL Qaeda involved-and that's why its so hard to figure out exactly what happened. Too many operatives.

IMHO, Bush was expecting a terrorist attack sometime that week, but he didn't have the details. The U.S. involvement probably was limited to getting the FBI and the Air Force out of the way.
