Cellphone use in flight, a study of sorts

I found this webpage and thought I'd share. It may not be totally scientific, but his study does show that it's doubtful all of those calls from the flights in distress on 911 could have connected.

1. Here's a question-- have you ever tried using a cell phone in flight?

I've tried a couple of times and it doesn't work.

A guy who visits my blog says he has tested his cell phone over a dozen times on a plane, and he says the signal always goes out right after take off.

How many people out there on this board have tried using their cell phones on a plane and what was your experience?????

2. Be careful - It's illegal.

It's an FCC reg. Supposedly it messes up the cell tower recievers.
