Alien skull and bones found in Peru
Three anthropologists agree: 'It is not a human being'

A mummified elongated skull found in Peru could finally prove the existence of aliens. The strangely shaped head - almost as big as its 50cm (20in) body - has baffled anthropologists.
It was one of two sets of remains found in the city of Andahuaylillas in the southern province of Quispicanchi. The skeletal sets were discovered by Renato Davila Riquelme, who works for the Privado Ritos Andinos museum in Cusco in south-eastern Peru. He said that that the eye cavities are far larger than normally seen in humans.

There is a soft spot in the skull - called an open fontanelle - which is a characteristic of children in their first year of life, yet the skull also has two large molars, only found in much older humans.

Davila Riquelme said three anthropologists, from Spain and Russia, arrived at the museum last week to investigate the findings and agreed it was not a human being and would conduct further studies.
He added: Although the assessment was superficial, it is obvious that its features do not correspond to any ethnic group in the world.
The remains of an eyeball in the right socket will help determine its genetic DNA - and clear up the controversy if it is human or not.

If the pressure were applied just so, it could warp the growth of that portion of the skull just as it usually did on other portions of the skull.

Theresa Alvina Schaan (USA) was born on the March 17, 1941 and diagnosed with having congenital hydrocephalus. Also known as "water on the brain," it is a condition in which there is extra cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) around the brain and spinal cord. A shunt has been inserted beneath her skull to drain the spinal fluid accumulating in her head.

6. Skull binding as practiced by various indigenous tribes
Would explain this -

The alternative explanation for the bizarre discovery is that the skull was artificially deformed as part of a tribal ritual.

The practice of skull elongation - to signify group affiliation or social status - dates back 9,000 years.

27. Alien? Honestly, what an utter crock.
In those pictures, I see these bones:

Frontal, parietal, temporal, nasal, lacrimal, ethmoid, sphenoid, zygomatic, maxilla, vomer. Superior and inferior conchae of the ethmoid are present. And, most tellingly, the mental protuberance on the mandible is present. Even our closest relative - the chimpanzee - does not share all of these features with humans (chimpanzees have a premaxilla and they have no mental protuberance). Are we to believe that a species that developed on an entirely different world, with no ancestry in common all the way back to single-celled organisms, would develop in such a fashion as to

a) have DNA
b) have cells
c) be bilaterally symmetrical
d) have an endoskeleton
e) said skeleton made primarily of calcium salts
b) have identical skull features as humans, except distorted?

Honestly, anyone who would buy into the possibility desperately needs an education in biology. I do not believe that real anthropologists actually stated that this wasn't human. If any of them did, they should lose their jobs immediately. Any of the sophomores in my human anatomy and physiology class would pick up on this as either an ignorant or fraudulent headline.

More than likely we will never hear another word about it. The only word we could possibly get is "its human" which will just be further proof that its an alien. Occam's razor: Which is more likely. An alien from space? or a hydro-cephalic baby (rare) born with teeth (also rare)? A space alien obviously. Looking forward to hearing "This thing has DNA like nothing we've ever seen before in all the life on this planet." I'll be holding my breath until the Mayan calender brings about TEOTW.

59. "has two large molars, only found in much older humans"

Maybe I'm daft, but if it has a feature "only found in much older humans", then I'm going to take a wild guess here and suppose it is an older human.

Anyone who can look at that skull and not immediately grasp that it has features that are solely and uniquely human, has never looked at a skull.

Yep, it's shaped oddly.

So aliens are identical to humans in EVERY respect, except they have funny shaped heads.

Is that it?

It is not alien. It is from France:

62. Nothing to see here, folks
It's just a human with a deformed skull.

Skulls from the Andean Paracas culture

Artificial cranial deformation (skull binding):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artificial_cranial_deforma...

snip:

Artificial cranial deformation, head flattening, or head binding is a form of permanent body alteration in which the skull of a human being is intentionally deformed. It is done by distorting the normal growth of a child's skull by applying force. Flat shapes, elongated ones (produced by binding between two pieces of wood), rounded ones (binding in cloth) and conical ones are among those chosen. It is typically carried out on an infant, as the skull is most pliable at this time. In a typical case, headbinding begins approximately a month after birth and continues for about six months.
