Anybody got anything on Agenda 21 debunking?...
I've been looking... and searched DU.. and can only come up with "our own" people's debunks. I'm looking for somebody major to clobber a FB post. I hate to let those dumbshits go unanswered.

The UN apparently wants to depopulate the world and take private property and like that.

I've read as much as I can stand of the actual Agenda 21, and it seems like a dream-piece from some eco-hippies from the 1990s, and not some secret plan.

Lemme know if anybody has done anything on this.

Here's the original POS You don't need to see it... trust me.

1. Conspiracy theory claptrap.
No comment because it's bullshit. Consider the source.

2. It's not a matter of "want to" -- if we keep going as we are, the world will be depopulated
...and private property, post-crash, will cease to exist as an intellectual construct...

6. How Does That Work, Exactly?
private property, post-crash, will cease to exist as an intellectual construct

How does that work, exactly? Even communism was never able to abolish private property entirely.

They tried, by making people live in barracks and work on collective farms,
but that was a pretty miserable failure that nobody wants to repeat.

4. You could send them an endorsement by a Dubya-era Republican appointee
Paula Dobriansky:

Repeating what U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell said at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg last September, Dobriansky said plans are good, "but only actions can put clean water in the mouths of thirsty girls and boys, prevent the transmission of a deadly virus from mother to child, and preserve the biodiversity of a fragile African ecosystem."

Dobriansky said CSD should identify priorities for future projects based on how the commission might make the biggest difference in the shortest time for those most in need, and recommended that water should be the over-arching theme for the upcoming 2004-05 CSD planning cycle. She said millions are dying each year from water-related diseases, many of them children, and that without progress on water, reaching other internationally agreed development goals will be difficult, if not impossible.

"'Water' could serve as the prism through which we address a range of cross-cutting issues, such as water and poverty eradication, water and agriculture, water and health, water and energy, and water and ecosystem management," she said.

The commission, convening April 28-May 9 in its first official meeting since WSSD, will implement the Johannesburg Plan of Action. Agenda 21, the program of action adopted at the Rio Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in June 1992, called for the creation of CSD to ensure effective follow-up of UNCED. The commission held its first substantive session in June 1993 and has met annually since.

If they are such conspiracy theorists that they think Dubya's administration was in secret league with George Soros to implement something 'socialist', then there's no point in trying to reason with them.
