The next 9/11 - coming to a blue state near you?

OK, maybe I'm having a tinfoil hat moment, but it just occurred to me--if there's another major Al Qaeda attack on American soil, isn't it most likely to hit one of the "blue" states or cities? New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington, DC (Maryland), Atlanta, Miami--they're all cities with concentrations of Democratic voters. There's not really much point in bombing Nebraska, is there?

By inflaming Al Qaeda further, is Bush trying to get them to eliminate Democrats?

The blue states have already demonstrated that they do NOT respond well to coercion. And they tend to have large populations which can easily derail the neocon administration and their sock puppet.

What was terrifying about the bombing in Oklahoma City was how it instilled fear in every part of America. It made everybody feel vulnerable. If a jaded ex-Marine with a stolen truck filled with fertilizer would destroy a federal building in the Midwest, it could happen anywhere. It hit a lot closer to home.
