Conspiracy theorists are never satisfied.

I would argue that people who believe this is the case in regard to 9/11 are satisfied way too easily.

We need a new inquiry.

True but misses the point. A government acting in good faith wouldn't leave so many unanswered questions and keep so much key evidence classified.

Why did al Qaeda take credit if 9/11 was an inside job?

Excellent question. The two "9/11 truth" debaters didn't answer but deflected to talk about the Taliban. IMO, this exposes a contradiction of some 9/11 truthers. By that I mean if one is seeking the truth then one should not reject evidence because it conflicts with a favored theory.

I would answer by questioning capability, not intent. Were the hijackers able to avoid detection from US intel? No. If al Qaeda recruited suicide attackers for the African embassy bombings and the Cole then why couldn't they do so for 9/11? CIA had the intel but refused to share it with FBI agents who could have arrested the al Qaeda operatives. Some claim this was due to incompetence, turf battle, systemic failures, etc. IMO, the record shows it was intentional. Alec Station officials were probably ordered not to share the intel and FBI ITOS officials were probably ordered to obstruct the Moussaoui case and the search for al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar.
