Garrisons investigation (to report back and feed false information) . I remember how in the movie one of them was depicted and
he constantly wanted to feed the info that the Castro people did it.
While Garrison mentions "Who could order standard security procedures to be ignored or even violated?"

It is the same with 911, Pakistan, Israel or Al-Qaeda couldn't schedule war games and make NORAD sit on it's hands.

I wonder how many of them are in the 911 truth movement, probably more than a handful.

Yep, it's a sad day when O'Reilly is more credible on a topic than PBS.

PBS will air Oswald's Ghost this week. Here are some reviews:

3. Oswald's Ghost
Jim DiEugenio also makes the point in this interview that by ignoring the work of the ARRB (JFK Records Act of 1992) he conveniently ignores Oswald's application to the 'Spooky' --

Albert Schweitzer College:

Covert History | Oswald and Albert Schweitzer College
On March 4, 1959, 5 days prior to be being promoted to Private 1st Class for the second time, Lee Harvey Oswald completed an application to attend the Albert Schweitzer College in Switzerland. The application was lodged on 19 of March, with a $25.00 registration fee being made on June 19. August 17 found him applying for a dependency discharge from the Marines which was duly granted on the 28th of that month. Exactly one week later, Lee applied for a passport, listing his occupation as "shipping export agent", and the purpose of his travel as attendance at the Albert Schweitzer College, Churwalden, Switzerland..

Covert History | More On Albert Schweitzer College:
Covert History | Project QKENCHANT:
The Atsugi Air Base -- where Oswald was a radar operator at that base with the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing -- was a major CIA stronghold. One of their biggest bases in the world in the 1950's. The U2 spy planes flew out of there, including the one that Francis Gary Powers was shot down in 1960.

10. Oswald and the CIA: Gary Powers' U-2 | LHO | Atsugi (Detachment C)
The Reissue of Oswald and the CIA
No person, or body, not even the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA), has ever dug more deeply into what the American intelligence community knew about Oswald prior to the assassination. What Newman reveals here literally makes the Warren Commission look like a Model T Ford. All the denials issued to that body by the likes of John McCone and J. Edgar Hoover are exposed as subterfuges. Contrary to their canards, there was a lot of interest in Oswald from the time he defected to Russia until the assassination.

Newman first discovered this when he was hired by PBS to work on their ill-fated Frontline special about Oswald in 1993. And it was this discovery that inspired him to write the book. The CIA Director at the time of the debate in Congress over the creation of the Assassination Records Review Board had testified there were something like 39 documents at CIA about Oswald. Most of them were supposed to be clippings. Newman discovered there was many, many times that amount. Further, he discovered the Agency held multiple files on Oswald. And finally, and perhaps most interestingly, there were some puzzling irregularities within the record. (When the author expressed his continuing bewilderment about this to the archivist, the archivist replied, "Haven't you ever heard of Murphy's Law?" To which Newman shot back, "Every time I turn around I'm walking into Mr. Murphy.")

Mr. Murphy makes his appearance right at the start. Once Oswald defected to Russia in 1959 the FBI opened up a file on him for security purposes. But at the CIA there is a curious, and suspicious, vacuum. Richard Snyder of the American Embassy in Moscow sent a cable to Washington about Oswald's defection. But the exact date the CIA got it cannot be confirmed (p. 24). Further, the person who received it cannot be determined either. Since Oswald was a former Marine, the Navy also sent a cable on November 4th. This cable included the information that Oswald had threatened to give up radar secrets to the Soviets. But again, no one knows exactly when this cable arrived at CIA. And almost as interesting, where it was placed upon its immediate arrival. (p. 25) This is quite odd because, as Newman points out (Chapter 3), Oswald's close association with the U-2 plane while at Atsugi, Japan should have placed alerts all over this cable. It did not. To show a comparison, the FBI recommended "a stop be placed against the fingerprints to prevent subject's entering the US under any name." (Ibid) So, on November 4, 1959, the FBI issued a FLASH warning on Oswald. This same Navy memo arrived at CIA and, after a Warren Report type "delayed reaction", eventually went to James Angleton's CI/SIG unit on December 6th. Angleton was chief of counter-intelligence. SIG was a kind of safeguard unit that protected the Agency from penetration agents. It was closely linked to the Office of Security in that regard. But as Newman queries: where was it for the previous 31 days? Newman notes that the Snyder cable and this Navy memo fell into a "black hole " somewhere. In fact, the very first file Newman could find on Oswald was not even at CI/SIG. It was at the Office of Security. This is all quite puzzling because, as the author notes, neither should have been the proper resting place for an initial file on Oswald. This black hole "kept the Oswald files away from the spot we would expect them to go-the Soviet Russia division." (p. 27)

Another thing the author finds puzzling about this early file is that he could find no trace of a security investigation about the danger of Oswald's defection. This is really odd because while talking to some of his friends the author found out that Oswald knew something that very few people did: the U-2 was also flying over China. If Snyder's original memo said that Oswald had threatened to give up secrets on radar operation to the Russians, and Oswald had been stationed at the U-2 base in Japan, there should have been a thorough security investigation as to what Oswald could have given the Russians. For the obvious reason that the program could be adjusted to avoid any counterattack based upon that relayed information. Newman could find no evidence of such an inquiry. (pgs 28,33-34) Further, the author found out that Oswald was actually part of a unit called Detachment C, which seemed to almost follow the U-2 around to crisis spots in the Far East, like Indonesia. (p. 42)

Needless to say, after Oswald defected, the second U-2 flight over Russia--with Gary Powers on board--was shot down. Powers felt that, "Oswald's work with the new MPS 16 height-finding radar looms large" in that event

22. Very interesting....

There is also evidence dug up that Oswald was a person of interest by the counter-intelligence unit immediately prior to the JFK assassination. Immediately after the assassinaton, a CIA (counter-intelligence) sponsored entity tried to pin the assassination on Castro. See the article "What Jane Roman Said".

15. Don't think I'm familiar with "Oswald's Ghost" by James DiEugenio but will check your link --
Now, many hundreds, including major voices in the media, aided and abetted the cover-up, but most of them did not know that's what they were doing, and believed what the government told them to be the truth. The media owners, rather than admit their folly, stubbornly simply refuse to look at or examine in depth the proof of conspiracy and the people to which the evidence points.

Just want to comment that my suspicions include higher ups -- CEO's --

I think much like what was done to Edward R. Murrow during the McCarthy Era was also

later being done by control from the top re the JFK coup and other RW political violence

we've suffered over last 50 years and more.

We have "Operation Mockingbird" which has been long standing -- a perfect guide to this --

How many CIA journalists and former Pentagon employees now in MSM?

We also had Walter Cronkite telling us that when he did a program with the various doctors

on what the exact wounds to the head were that the end conclusions of the program were being

changed as he was reading the dummy cards!

Don't know how you feel about 9/11 -- but obviously that was pretty much a video game show

and required the cooperation of corporate-press to pull it off -- certainly not ALL -- but

much of it -- not only to ignore what was being shown and the lies of it, but to protect

the cover up --

5. So Oliver Stone actually understated the level of CIA infiltration into Garrison's investigation.
In the movie Oliver Stone only had one CIA agent infiltrate his office.

So it was really NINE!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvdS-1dcVxw

Here are a few more active links to O'Reilly's report. Very interesting, and completely understandable, interviews with Antonio Veciana. At the beginning of the clips below Veciana is very forthcoming about JFK. After getting a bullet in the head though - Not So Much.

Here's a short list of TV talking heads who made their 'Mockingbird Bones' with the JFK Case:

William James "Bill" O'Reilly, Jr.

Dan Rather

Bob Lloyd Schieffer
After graduating from TCU, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a captain and information officer. He was honorably discharged and joined the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as a reporter, with one of his key assignments a trip to Vietnam to profile soldiers from the Fort Worth area. At the Star Telegram he received his first major journalistic recognition on November 22, 1963.

Shortly after President Kennedy was shot in Dallas, while in the Star-Telegram office, he received a telephone call from a woman in search of a ride to Dallas. The woman was Marguerite Oswald, Lee Harvey Oswald's mother, whom he accompanied to the Dallas police station. He then spent the next several hours there pretending to be a detective, enabling him to have access to an office with a phone. In the company of Oswald's mother Marguerite and his wife, Marina, he was able to use the phone to call in dispatches from other Star-Telegram reporters in the building. This enabled the Star Telegram to create four "Extra" editions on the day of the assassination...

Schieffer also crossed paths with Bill O'Reilly...
In 1980, O'Reilly anchored his own program on WCBS-TV in New York where he won his second Local Emmy for an investigation of corrupt city marshals. In 1982, he was promoted to the network as a CBS News correspondent and covered the wars in El Salvador and the Falkland Islands from his base in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He later left CBS over a dispute concerning the uncredited use in a report by Bob Schieffer of riot footage shot by O'Reilly's crew in Buenos Aires during the Falklands conflict...

Lawrence Harvey Zeiger
In the early 1970s, King was entangled in legal and financial troubles. He was arrested on December 20, 1971 and charged with grand larceny. The charges stemmed from a deal he had made with Louis Wolfson, who had been convicted of selling unregistered stock in 1968.

The circumstances of what occurred between the two are unclear. According to King, he told Wolfson that he could arrange a special investigation by John Mitchell, the incoming US Attorney General, to overturn the conviction. Wolfson agreed, and paid King $48,000. King never delivered, and could not pay back the money. When Wolfson was released from prison, he went after King.

According to Wolfson, King served as an intermediary between Wolfson and New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison. Garrison was investigating the assassination of President Kennedy, but needed to raise funds for the investigation. Wolfson offered to pay $25,000 to help fund the investigation. The arrangement was that Wolfson gave Larry King cash (about $5,000 per visit). King was supposed to give this to Richard Gerstein, the State Attorney for Dade County, Florida. Gerstein was to transfer the money to Garrison.

This took place over a year or two. Wolfson eventually found that not all the money he gave to King made it to Garrison. The larceny charge was dropped because the statute of limitations had run out. But King pled no contest to one of 14 charges of passing bad checks.

As a result of these troubles, he was off the air for three years. During those three years he worked several jobs. He was the PR director at Louisiana Downs, a race track in Louisiana, and he wrote some articles for Esquire magazine, including a major piece on New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath...

Interesting -- and didn't know that there was an actual count on the NUMBER

of CIA agents who infiltrated Garrison's investigation!!

Loved Garrison -- and he was indeed courageous to do as much as he did--!!

Which was a pretty much getting most of the plot exposed --

21. Jerry Policoff has the backstory on how O'Reilly came to the investigation...

There were at least a couple of factors that Jerry Policoff was aware of:

1) The new producer of Inside Edition came from 20/20, and was determined to do real investigative journalism. As opposed to Rupert Murdoch's tabloid/gossip show, Hard Copy.

2) O'Reilly somehow came into possession of leaked CIA documents.
# Show #537
Original airdate: July 28, 2011
Guests: Jerry Policoff / Jim DiEugenio
Topics: Murdoch / JFK Research

Play Part One - Jerry Policoff

# Early JFK researcher, area of expertise is the role of the media, New York Times, CBS, Time Inc, John McCloy
# Murdoch hacking scandal, Watergate analogy, revelations getting bigger and bigger, broke two years ago
# United States connection, going to take Murdoch and PM Cameron down, Chris Christie, News America, Floor Graphics
# Carlucci, I will destroy you, hacked by News America, settled for 29 million dollars, multiple cases
# 500 million and 125 million dollar settlements, violations of the law, mysterious deaths
# Margaret Thatcher, the Cameron government, head of Scotland Yard resigned, corridors of power
# The Weekly Standard, helped launch the Iraq war, Fox News, Murdoch became a US citizen, still run from Australia
# Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, talking about it now, tip of the iceberg, news is the political arm of the Murdoch empire
# People are afraid of Murdoch, whistle blower, engaged in fraud, FCC waiver, they rolled out the red carpet
# Frank Sturgis, Marita Lorenz, Murdoch, inherited a newspaper from his father, started Hard Copy, tabloid television
# James Murdoch lied, Rupert may throw his son under the bus
# He knew everything going on with his newspapers, he likes thugs, death of a Chief of Police, Metro Media
# Bill O'Reilly, host of Inside Edition, a clone of Hard Copy, received leaked CIA documents about Garrison
# At one point he had a sense of outrage, what a nut-case, money does strange things to people

for all of the info -- I will lock it into my files and try to look at it shortly --

Hadn't really been following Murdock scandal until last go around -- and lots to catch

up on!

As for O'Reilly -- impressed that he came by CIA info -- and wonder if that's a positive or

another negative about him --

but agree something really wrong with him, but it may only be $$$$ ...

PS -- Also picked up "blackopradio" -- which I presume can only be listened to via internet --

but just wanted to comment that during our electricity outage with IRENE I listened to some

late night radio -- Coast to Coast -- and don't know if I caught some really poor examples

of what they do or if they are actually just intending to misinform.

But I will try your link soon -- thanks!
