One reason DU is better than DailyKos: Censorship doesn't
appear to be an issue.

Last night, I went over the DailyKos just to read the front page. I noted there was a thread on 9/11, where the topic originally started as 36% of the American people have reservations about the official story. The thread turned into some high level skepticism and just raising some questions. Like, why did WTC 7 fall? Noting really conspiratorial. That was strange, since I thought that topic was frowned on there. That, and Ohio 2004.

I engaged in the coversation and had many, many posts and arguments. I went back to my comments section and all those comments were gone from the My Comments section. Like the whole thread was gone. I'm down to 7 comments with the lasted one being 20 Aug. What happened to 4 September?

I really wanted to reply to someone, but it got two late last night. I had mentioned that we should be able to talk about 9/11 on this site, since we have first amendment rights and this is the land of the free, home of the brave. Someone told me that there was no first amendment rights since this was Kos servers. My thought was, is this the liberal version of free speech zones? That was what I had gone back to reply to. Although we are suppose to be free from the Atlantic to the Pacific, I guess that doesn't include IP packets going into Kos' basement.

Now, I understand why some of them call themselves the Kossacks. Anybody here object to the link: http://www.physics911.net/

On an important point related to your post ...

It's not true to say that people automatically support the "official conspiracy theory" if they don't support the MIHOP/LIHOP versions of events. That's a false dichotomy. The "official story" is full of holes - a whitewash, in fact. But that doesn't mean either MIHOP or LIHOP.

On edit: And KOS can censor as much as it likes, for the same reasons that you can get kicked out of a bar if you say something the propietor doesn't like. Tha doesn't make the censoring fair or reasonable, but hey.

4. Kos gets to make the rules
It's his site.

However, you get to choose where you hang out and post. At least down here, you won't get deleted unless you say something nasty to someone.

Welcome to the DUngeon :hi:

6. I guess you don't remember the great dKos conspira-purge a few months ago
When Kos decided it wanted nothing to do with paranoid conspiracy theories. I think half of the people arguing in this forum came here from dKos.

7. Tell us what "paranoid conspiracy theories" you have in mind.

You obviously believe in conspiracies (or do you think Osama did it ALL by himself?), but I think a lot of us here would be interested in knowing what conspiracy theories you are referring in your post about "paranoid" c. theories.
