Will Gaza Strip Become 'Hamastan,' Israeli Minister Wonders
Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said on Tuesday that the planned Israeli pullout from the Gaza Strip should go ahead as scheduled, no matter what the outcome of the Palestinian elections, scheduled for July.

The terror group Hamas -- an armed group that is dedicated to the destruction of Israel -- already has made a strong showing in municipal elections in some Palestinian cities and some Israelis fear it could win big in the Gaza Strip this summer.

Palestinian Interior Minister Nasser Youssef said on Monday that even though Hamas remains an armed militant group, that won't affect its participation in the upcoming elections.

Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom sparked a row on Monday when he suggested that if Hamas wins the upcoming elections in the Gaza Strip, Israel should reconsider its disengagement plan rather than turn over the land to what he called "Hamastan."

That should be real fun to watch.

1. The plot thickens
In Britain we have an armed, and murderous terrorist group as part of our democracy, Sinn fein/IRA.

It was the only way to stop the killing. They're are still armed to the teeth, and still carry out sporadic murders, the most recent to get any attention was a man being 'gutted' from groin to neck with a knife.

Repugnant people indeed but our pubs and shopping centres are no longer exploding

3. Well.....
Its a shame that man who was "'gutted' from groin to neck with a knife" wont get to enjoy those pubs and shopping centres.

I suspect the list of atrocities and war crimes committed by hamas might make you call them "repugnant".

4. Of course Hamas are repugnant
blowing innocent people to pieces IS repugnant, which is why i refered to the IRA as such, i was making a comparison.

Letting such a murderous bunch into our parliament grates the soul but it saves lives. There murder rate has gone down significantly, and although they are still who they are, they kill much much less people.

This is what i was refering to in our previous posts. The IRA split. The majority refrained from killing, a minority formed the 'Real IRA' who continued to plan and execute bombings. They were marginalised further, and could be pursued more effectively, and now most are in jail or being monitored and that group is virtually redundant.

I am a cynic, but to look at the negative all the time is not good for your arguments or your health.

2. This on the front page of their parent company's web site
The Leader in Documenting, Exposing and Neutralizing Liberal Media Bias.

Might I suggest that maybe it's not the most objective site.

6. Well...
There is only one site linked to in this whole thread, so far.

It's probably the site in the post being responding to. Not really that hard to figure out.

7. So, I don't get the point of complaining about the website.
This information, in a very similar article, is also cross-posted on another thread in this forum.

The story was from Ha'aretz.

Or don't we listen to them either? We now have News Source Police?
