Eight Palestinians killed in Gaza; two Qassams hit Sderot
Things certainly are busy. This story just goes on and
on with the list. I'm still trying to figure out what Jabba
is trying to accomplish. It this just political ass-covering for
the dead kids, or some sort of last desperate attempt to show that
violence leads to peace, or a distraction from the unfortunately candid
remarks of Weisglass, or something else even more obscure?

"A tale told by an idiot, full of sound an fury, and signifying
nothing."
(Apologies to Will S.)

Eight Palestinians were killed by Israel Defense Forces troops in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, all of whom the IDF said were trying to carry out attacks on soldiers or fire rockets.

---

Meanwhile, two Qassam rockets landed in the western Negev town of Sderot on Thursday. Three people were treated for shock.

---

Two of those killed northern Gaza were a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, witnesses said.

Also Thursday, a 13-year-old Palestinian boy from Jabalya died of wounds sustained last week from a missile fired at a group of people in the camp.

2. "Strut and fret" does seem very popular.
Undue aggression is usually a sign of weakness, from which one
can infer that both sides are weak, relatively speaking ...

3. pretty sure..
they intend to kill some people, hurt a few more, rip some shit up, then run spin control to keep the impressions neat and tidy. That's pretty much what is accomplished. I can't imagine what else..

They should know from their experience up north just a few years ago that these campaigns in fact increase rocket firings in the other direction, just out of principle--not that I expect analytical logic to be applied by the goons & spokesbots, of course..
