Sheikh Yassin's 'Happiest Day'
Myth 1: The Yassin strike will escalate the violence

Myth 2: Yassin was an impotent old man

Myth 3: Yassin was a 'spiritual leader' who deserved immunity

Myth 4: Israel's strike creates a western threat of Islamic terror

3. ya, they quote lord black re: bias
"Conrad Black is CEO of Hollinger International, and publisher of The Spectator (London), The Jerusalem Post, and other publications. He writes:

"The British media habitually apply a double standard when judging the Israelis and Palestinians. Behind the spurious defense of merely seeking justice for the Palestinians, most of the relevant sections of the BBC, Independent, Guardian, Evening Standard and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are rabidly anti-Israel."

and

"EXAMPLE: Ariel Sharon, the democratically-elected leader of the State of Israel, is consistently referred to by derogatory monikers like "hard-liner" and even "war criminal." Curiously, no such appellations are attached to Yasser Arafat." - sure

and from their bookshelf:

MEDIA BIAS

Covering the Intifada
Joshua Muravchik (Washington Institute for Near East Policy)
A review of the biased coverage of ten key episodes in the conflict, between 9/00 and 4/02.

Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News
Bernard Goldberg (Regnery)
Award-winning broadcast journalist reveals a corporate news culture in which "entertainment" trumps journalistic integrity. A best-seller.

TERRORISM

American Jihad: The Terrorists Living Among Us
Steven Emerson (Free Press)
Foremost expert on Islamic terrorism shows how Hamas and Islamic Jihad has grown an extensive network in the United States, and how American organizations helped recruit for the ranks of Osama bin Laden.

Fighting Terrorism: How Democracies Can Defeat Domestic and International Terrorists
Benjamin Netanyahu (Noonday Press)
The former prime minister demonstrates that when concessions are made, terrorists temporarily lay off but then up the ante with more demands.

seems biased in their education and commitment against media bias.

Our bias good - your bias bad

Sad

4. Hey
Ariel is a hard liner AND a war criminal. Arafat gets called all sort of stuff (even worse then that), so I wonder why the whining. :eyes:

6. because they are biased

this site speaking to bias is one of the funniest things I have come accross this week.

Hey, so their biased. It's not always an evil thing - but to then preach to me about bias? wtf

They are concerned with one side of the debate only - that is a bias.

Another funny on the site - they use a Times web site listing for the ME (times did not include Israeli sites) as an example of bias. I then go to this sites book listings and they are all right wing pro-israeli.

Pot meet kettle

Edited on Thu Apr-08-04 07:44 AM by Classical_Liberal
why couldn't they just arrest him again?

Fact: Palstinians never threatened to strike america untill Arial the dumbass did it.

I feel that it will increase terrorism against America. What a good friend Arial is.
