Have you been wondering what has become of Palestinian life in the occupied territories as the world's attention was turned towards Iraq?

While there have been no Palestinian attacks inside Israel for ten weeks, Israeli attacks against Palestinians have not stopped for a single day.

In the last two weeks alone, Israel has killed 21 Palestinians and injured 55 others.

In an attack on Palestinian civilians and property yesterday, the Israeli military completely destroyed 18 homes in the Khan Yunis refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, leaving 25 families (178 Palestinian civilians) homeless. In addition, homes belonging to 6 Palestinian families (approximately 40 civilians) were damaged so heavily that they are now uninhabitable.

I have to keep up on the daily events between the Israelis and Palestinians. It's about enough to make you sick to see how one-sided the Western world is about this conflict. Any rationale human being can see that the Palestinians are getting the worst out of this whole thing. It's inhumane. I'm objective, however, both sides have commited atrocities. Both are right in many aspects and both are wrong, as well. We need to be totally objective adjudicators and to stop or at least contain all the chaos and madness in this conflict.

For the most part, though, I think Western planners are to blame for creating this myth of innocent-little Israel surrounded by vicious Arabs and always being attacked, when in reality it's Israel doing the ethnic cleansing, starting wars (like the pre-planned blitzkrieg in June '67 they pulled off against Egypt), and of course stealing as much land as possible.

If Americans knew of all the unprovoked killings and massacres Israel has committed in the name of stealing land, I like to think that they wouldn't want to go along with paying the bill for these things. So, you've gotta create a story-book myth - that's how propaganda works in the West basically.

I guess nobody is really keeping exact numbers of Palestinian homelessness anyway. Still, I wonder where all those people are going to go?
