Katyusha rockets explode in Western Galilee
The IDF confirmed Tuesday that three Katyusha rockets were fired at the western Galilee from Lebanon on Monday night. No injuries were reported, but several structures sustained damage.

Security forces were searching for a fourth Katyusha shell, believed to have landed on the Israeli side of the border, but eventually determined that only three projectiles landed on the Israeli side of the border.

...

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit reported that the military is responding with artillery fire on Lebanon.

The IDF stressed that Israel holds the Lebanese government responsible for the fire. The GOC Northern Command is on high alert.

1. UNIFIL...
From the article:

UNIFIL, which has a peacekeeping mission in southern Lebanon is investigating the fire, but a spokesman for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon was quoted by Beirut's radio as saying that "UNIFIL rejects reports suggesting any violation of UN Resolution 1701 and is working to restore normalcy."

This is really funny if you think about it. How can there NOT have been "any violation of UN Resolution 1701" when no one can deny that katyushas have been fired without provocation at Israeli civilian communities? UNIFIL are a waste of space and a waste of money.

2. If UNIFIL admitted otherwise...
... they would have to also admit that they have absolutely no control over what Hezbollah does in Lebanon.

3. An admission of the attack is an admission of their incompetence
it's like having ambulances used to ship weapons. not good for the PR.
