Jewish group urges U.N. bodies to condemn Hamas
http://famulus.msnbc.com/FamulusIntl/reuters07-29-113136.asp?reg=MIDEAST

"An international organisation of liberal Jews urged United Nations bodies on Tuesday to condemn the Palestinian militant group Hamas for preaching what it called genocide against Jews and the destruction of Israel.

Hamas has spearheaded a campaign of suicide bombings against Israelis in a Palestinian uprising for statehood. It has also mustered grassroots Palestinian support in part with a network of schools and welfare services.

The European Union is resisting U.S and Israeli pressure to cut off funding for Hamas, pointing to the charity work and a ceasefire it has declared together with other militant groups."

Asking too much of our UN to condemn these murderers? And the EU funds it! Please!

2. This sudden interest in UN resolutions if very touching,
sniff. I knew they would see the light someday.

4. Well, bemildred...
I don't know much about this organization, but it is certainly possible that they are against the settlements.

6. I liked the part about how the sneaky bastards
"mustered grassroots Palestinian support in part with a
network of schools and welfare services". You mean they like
that better than bullets and bulldozers? Who'd a thunk it?
It's actually old Maoist doctrine for guerilla war, politics
comes first. Israel shoulda stuck with the PA when they had
the chance.

9. There seems another contraversy around
who has funded Hamas schools and soup kitchens, and various humanitarian aid facilities. And you make a good point about this sudden interest in the UN. So much irony no real resolutions, restitutions, or solutions.

8. Specifically
The PA, however unpleasant, was always also pretty incompetent.
Hamas, like Hizbullah, seems to know what they are about with
the terrorist and guerilla war business, and is a much more
competent foe, hence the drumbeat to try to dismantle it or
destroy it.

3. let`s see,hmmmm
who is building the wall? could it be israel? who hasn`t launched any attacks ? could it be ...hamas? who has wmd,gps muntions,us fighter jets , and modern field tanks? could it be israel?
terrorism ,hmmmm, who blew up the king david hotel? who drove people from their homes to settle on land that wasn`t theirs....and is it to much for israel to answer one of their un condemnations?
there is more than enough blame to go around and it`s time that the taxpayers of this country stop giving money to israel. if the israeli government spent that money for peaceful resolution to the "problem" then the israeli nation and its people could have a decent life and so could their neighbors...
