Poll: Labor down to 6 Knesset seats
A Rafi Smith poll commissioned by Ynet reveals that the Labor Party has reached an all-time low in public approval terms -if elections were held today, the party would win a paltry six Knesset seats, down from its current 13.

The poll also showed a significant drop for Kadima and Likud, with 18 and 21 mandates respectively (down from 28 and 27.)

However, it seems Israeli voters have not been affected by the probe against Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman. His party received 12 mandates in the poll, which is just one short of the total it won in the recent elections.

"Floating votes" account for 27 mandates in the poll, in keeping with recent elections where many voters were undecided on the eve of the vote.

The poll also showed that many voters are dissatisfied with the ballots they cast just six months ago. Forty-two percent of Labor's voters expressed this sentiment and said they were undecided. In contrast, just 8.6% of Likud voters have changed their minds.

1. Seems like the Israelis and Palestinians have at least one thing in common...
they both like the party known as None of the Above.

Actually, so do the Brits these days.

2. if their numbers sink that low...
it will be very difficult for Labor to attract a sufficient fundraising base, I would imagine. Particularly when Likud candidates are able to attract funding from wealthy diaspora Jews.

I suppose if Labor is sidelined, Kadima will become the natural party of the left (its broadly left on everything but the Arabs, anyway).
